1998 SLTS Retreat
We had what could best be described as a wonderful time at the Sebana Cove Golf & Marina Resort in the weekend of October 10 & 11, 1998 with all the activities, vegetarian meals, etc. This was the first theosophical retreat for members of the Singapore Lodge Theosophical Society in recent time. Sebana Cove is located upstream in Sungei Santi in the Malaysian State of Johore. We had the following programme for the retreat.
1. Talk on “Chakras, Prana and Kundalini”
2. Workshop on “Worries, Fear and Anxiety”
3. Workshop on “Anger and Irritation”
4. Workshop on “Self-centredness and selfishness”
5. Meditation classes
There were altogether 30 of us and we had all the joy and excitement of merry-makers from the time we boarded the ferry at the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal till the time we got back to Singapore. We had a very high level of participation in the workshops. No doubt we all got home a little happier, if not wiser. We are grateful to those members who bought the hotel vouchers given to the TS, thereby raising a small fund. Three of them in fact gave the hotel vouchers back for resale. Consequently, we raised $670 from the donations through the kindness of these members. May each of them be blessed!
