Vegetarianism

In conjunction with the 2008 Singapore Meatout Week from 7/7/08 to 13/7/08, our Hon. Secretary, Lily Chong, will give a talk on her research into vegetarianism, to take us through various facets of the subject. In the talk she will debunk the myth on the lack of nutrition of a vegetarian diet. She will also show us the consequences of the demand and supply of animal products, including a video show on animal farming. Come to the talk and delight in the merits of vegetarianism. Self-Culture—in the Light of the Ancient Wisdom

Bro. Choong Chi Pin continues his study of the book of the same title by a prominent theosophist and author, I. K. Taimni. In this session, the author explains the means of developing Devotion using aphorisms from the Bhakti-Sutras of Narada. Verses from the Bhagavad-Gita and examples are used to further help in the explanation.

The Emblem of the Theosophical Society

Bro. Kam Chai Heng continues his study of the book The Theosophical Society Seal. He has covered half the contents of The Interlaced Triangles. He now continues with the chapters on The Holy Trinity, The Work of The Holy Trinity, The Divine Image, “As Above, So Below”, King Solomon’s Seal, and Sixes and Sevens. Time permitting, he may also talk about the last Symbol—The Sacred Word.
