In
The Outer Court
Bro. Choong Chi Pin
continues his book study of In The Outer Court a book by
Annie Besant.
‘One of the greatest joys
and rewards which can come to the Soul which is growing, and wants nothing
for itself save the power of service, comes, when it is able to help a
weaker Soul that is being crushed because it is weak. It finds that it can
breathe into that Soul some breath of divine courage, relief, and
understanding. This helps the brother-Soul to strengthen to accomplish, not
setting free that Soul from a burden which it has made, and which it should
bear.’

The
Extended Mind
Recent
Experimental Evidence
Most of us have been
brought up to believe the mind is located inside the head, but there are
good reasons for thinking that this view is much too limited. Can people
influence others at a distance just by looking at them, even if all sensory
clues are eliminated? Can animals detect people's intentions from far away?
This 56 mins. video presentation by Rupert Sheldrake looks at the
results of experiments trying to answer these and other questions on the
nature of mind.
Rupert Sheldrake,
Ph. D, is a Fellow of the Institute of Noetic Sciences in Sausalito,
California and is the former Director of Studies in bio-chemistry and cell
biology at Clare College, Cambridge University. He is author of several
books, including A New Science of Life: The Hypothesis of Morphic
Resonance, and most recently, The Sense of Being Stared At.
