Health and Disease in Man The attainment and maintenance of perfect health is the intelligent person’s supreme material preoccupation. Health is the greatest physical necessity for every human being. Yet, despite the progress of modern science, the incidence of such diseases as leprosy, cancer, diabetes, hypertension and heart disease, and the mortality from them, tend to increase. Our Hon. Secretary, Sis. Lily Chong, will be giving this talk, Health and Disease in Man, for the third time, the last time was 5 years ago. H. P. B. Speaks Bro. Kam Chai Heng reads from the book, H.P.B. Speaks. We shall look into the various letters written by H. P. Blavatsky from 1875 onwards and from her Diary of 1878. There exists in the Archives of the TS in Adyar certain manuscripts of HPB and the most interesting historically is her Diary for 1878. There is a long statement in HPB's handwriting written in 1885 in defence of Col. Olcott. Also an interesting letter she wrote to Prince Dondukoff-Korsakoff. We shall also learn of the reason HPB had to rewrite the first volume of The Secret Doctrine.
