in Consciousness Study Class
Will, Desire, and Emotion
Commencement of Part II of
A Study in Consciousness,
an informative book by Annie Besant.
Chong Sanne
resumes A Study in Consciousness, as we explore Part II of the
book. As the study of Will, Desire and Emotion is of general
interest, it is thought beneficial to share it at regular Lodge meetings,
and open to all. We start by understanding The Will to Live and the Nature

Meditation in Action
A talk by Brandon Goh.
“In the rush of our busy
modern lives, finding peace and deeper states of being often feels like an
impossible task. Many of us try to retreat into silence, only to find that
the noise of the day follows us. While formal meditation is valuable, it is
not enough to still the momentum of a busy day. The key is an integral
meditation that does not reject life, but embraces it as a field of
practice. We will explore principles of ‘right action’ and how to gather
every movement of the day into a natural flow towards our spiritual ideal.”

I Wonder Why
A talk by Choong Tsui
Wei.
“Mental development
distinguishes man from all other animals in this mind-ridden civilisation.
Armed with this, man tends to work closely with the Law of Probability and
approach life rather statistically. However, life as we know it, is neither
really consistent nor predictable. Have you ever wondered why? Have you ever
wondered what mystery lies behind this? And, for that matter, can our lives
be ‘made’ more predictable with this realisation?”

The Way of The Path
A talk by Francis Lim.
“Is taking precepts,
chanting mantras or even doing frequent charity work sufficient to exhaust
our karmic debts so that we can live a life that is aligned with the Path?
We shall explore possible
methods and practices to achieve spiritual awakening, self realisation and
eventual enlightenment.”
