Individualization on the Moon
Our VP, Tang Kwok
Choon, talks about the individualization of the moon animals. He says,
“We have studied the
individualized animal and his component bodies.
We had a glimpse of that
Individual life living on different planes and the environment.
And how through
innumerable incarnations this Individual can grow in spirituality.
But how and when did this
individualization take place?
Today we go to the Moon
to take a peek.”

Damodar
Choong Chi Pin
continues his reading of the book Damodar the Pioneer of Theosophical
Movement by Sven Eek.
In 1879 Damodar met H.
S. Olcott and H. P. Blavatsky in Bombay, after they had just established the
Theosophical Society's temporary Indian headquarters there. On August 3,
1879, he joined the Society at Bombay; several of his relatives, including
his father and his uncle, also became members. Damodar, however, went a step
further, giving up his caste. In 1880, he officially became a Buddhist while
in Sri Lanka, taking Pancha Sila along with Col. Olcott and Madame
Blavatsky.
Damodar wrote a number
of excellent articles for The Theosophist, which were compiled by
Sven Eek. The compilation also includes some very interesting correspondence
with William Quan Judge, A. P. Sinnett, and Mrs. Josephine W. Cables, of
Rochester, New York, and various reports and other documents. He continued
his work in this way until February 23, 1885, when he went to Tibet to join
his Master.
This month we look at
other letters between Damodar
and W.Q. Judge.
