2023 November Programme

4 November 2023 4:30 p.m.*

The Invisible Helpers

Are there really Invisible Beings who can help us in times of trouble? Or, are they just the superstitious and mistaken beliefs of the gullible? This talk answers questions regarding whether there are any invisible entities that help us from time to time and if so, who they are and what is the nature of their work. Are prayers answered by “God” or angels or other beings? Under what circumstances are prayers for help given? What happens to people after they pass on? Are they able to help us from the other side? Are they in fact themselves helped and by whom?

Many true and interesting accounts of how the Invisible Helpers have helped both the living and the so-called dead are recounted. Our Hon. Secretary, Lily Chong, takes us once again through this interesting subject.

This talk was last given seven years ago, in 2016.

This talk is for members only.

The Ancient Mysteries in Modern Times

A talk by our Asst. Secretary, Brandon Goh.

In the olden days, the lesser mysteries served as portals to the Greater, unveiling profound truths which are now freely given. One of the lesser-known objectives of the Theosophical Society is the revival of the ancient mysteries, but where are they now? Could they be hidden in plain sight?
