Gayatri

Bro. Choong Chi Pin continues his book study of Gayatri by I. K. Taimni. For the large majority of people, the limited purpose of breaking the material cycle and cultivating the inner richness of spirit which enables them to reach a full and integrated life, at peace with themselves and in harmony with others, is sufficient. Gayatri worship can help in doing this in a very effective manner.

Mahatma Letters Study Class

Letter No. 68

Devachan

DO NOT MISS !!!

LETTER No. 68.—This is a ‘Question and Answer’ letter in which A. P. Sinnett asks questions and the Master K. H. answers them.

This letter is often referred to as the ‘Devachan Letter’, since it is devoted principally to that subject. It is of a technical nature and contains many words and phrases that will be unfamiliar to some students. One should keep in mind the fact that this was all new ground for A. P. Sinnett and he often did not know how to frame intelligent questions. Generally, the questions and answers in this letter are not difficult to understand. The Mahatma lists the principles and describes what happens to them in Devachan. He refers Sinnett to a page number in the current issue of The Theosophist in ‘Fragments of Occult Truth’. Sinnett lists these in his book, Esoteric Buddhism, which was largely developed from the ‘Fragments’. They are found on p. 13 of that book, with a commentary.

As contents of this letter are substantial we would probably need three sessions to completely cover this one letter.

27th February 2010  5 p.m.*
