Excursion to Changi Museum & NEWater Visitor Centre

The Lodge will be closed this week as 45 of us are going for an excursion to Changi Museum and NEWater Visitor Centre. Participants are requested to board the bus by 1:30 p.m. in front of Sims Avenue Centre. As the bus will be leaving punctually, late-comers will miss the bus.

The first Devachan letter was Letter No. 68. Letters 70A, B and C dealt further with the subject. The two Englishmen submitted more questions to the Mahatma K.H. This letter is in answer to those questions.

It will be remembered that Sinnett had taken over from Hume the task of writing the series entitled “Fragments of Occult Truth” which were published in The Theosophist. These articles were based on the teachings given by the two Mahatmas, K.H. and M., through the letters.

We come now to two rather long letters which probably were written and mailed at the same time. Letter No. 111 is designed to be read by Sinnett (if he wishes) to the members of the London Branch. The other (Letter No. 112) is more personal. Sinnett’s second book, Esoteric Buddhism had come off the press on June 10.

Letter 111 talks about Avalokitesvara and explains the Seal of the Theosophical Society.

Bro. Kam Chai Heng continues his book study of “The Inner Life” by C. W. Leadbeater. He will be covering the Ninth Section, Psychic Faculties, consisting of the following chapters, Psychic Powers; Clairvoyance; The Mystic Chord; How Past Lives Are Seen; and Foreseeing The Future. He will be covering the first two chapters of this section.
