Manifestations of Superhuman Beings in Our World
Choong Chi Pin
gives the second of a two-part talk based on a lecture delivered by Annie
Besant on 1st June 1913 in London.
“... Those who have overcome, not for Their own gain but for the helping of
humanity, Those who are liberated Spirits, who have bound Themselves in the
bonds of the flesh by love and not by compulsion, Those who are divine men,
who have perfected the human cycle of evolution, it is They who share with
the angelic host the guidance of evolution in the world in which we are...”

I'm
Dead! Now What?
This illustrated 80 mins.
video programme by Richard Brooks explores the veracity of religious and
Theosophical theories on life after death in three parts. Part I looks at
some Western theories. Part II explores Eastern theories, including those of
Hinduism and Buddhism, while Part III examines two theosophical theories of
life after death. You will find this an entertaining program, punctuated
with humour on an otherwise serious subject.
Dr. Richard Brooks is a
long time member of The Theosophical Society, having joined in 1953. He
lectured in theosophy and related subjects throughout the United States as
well as in Canada and India. He is an emeritus professor of philosophy from
Oakland University, north of Detroit, Michigan, where he taught a wide
variety of courses for 33 years, serving as Department Chair for his last 6
years. He specializes in Indian and Chinese philosophy and religion, and in
logic. He was a Fulbright Scholar in India and has lived in Adyar in the
past. He has conducted the School of The Wisdom in Adyar. He is also a
member of the Parapsychological Association, the Co-Masonic Order, and the
Liberal Catholic Church. He is one of the editors of the Theosophical
Encyclopedia.
