Choong Chi Pin continues his reading of this frank book by Geoffrey Hodson where he discusses the utterances of Mr. J. Krishnamurti.

Krishnamurti constantly affirms that the background, the process of study, the effort to understand the meaning and purpose of life which Theosophy inculcates – all these are a positive hindrance to the attainment of true discernment.

Geoffrey Hodson frankly confessed that, in common, apparently, with large numbers of others, he found himself unable to accept many of K's teachings. GH even went so far as to suggest that the extraordinary confusion of thought which K is causing everywhere K goes might be productive of great harm.
