The Mystery of Birth

One of the most interesting and fascinating events of Nature is that of the marvel and mystery of birth. Birth is a series of miracles which become deeper and more significant as we penetrate from man’s physical nature to his psychic links with the subtler bodies. This talk will look at the miracle of birth from the occult standpoint. It will cover the events in the inner worlds before birth takes place – the role played by the soul as it descends to ensoul the new body, the different unseen forces which come into play in the formation of the baby, what affects the physical features of the baby, how heredity is controlled by inner invisible agencies, still-born babies, how qualities are developed as the child grows and the consequences of misguidance, and the roles played by heredity and reincarnation to affect the physical characteristics and personality traits of the baby. Clairvoyant investigations into the antenatal period will also be described, giving you some insight into the important work of the devas or angels before birth. This talk was last given more than 3 years ago in April 2013.

Please note that this talk is for members only

The Causal Body

Our Vice President, Tang Kwok Choon continues his talk on evolution.

During his last talk, we have seen how the Causal Body is formed; giving the Animal a new body, thus making it Human. But what  is a Causal Body? What  can this Body do? What can happen to it? Where  is its place in the evolution of the Monad? In this talk, we will explore these questions.

J. Krishnamurti and the Search for Light

Choong Chi Pin continues his reading of this frank book by Geoffrey Hodson where he discusses the utterances of Mr. J. Krishnamurti. Geoffrey Hodson says:

“Krishnamurti is at least consistent in one respect – his general and trenchant condemnation of organisations for the dissemination of doctrines, of societies, orders, ceremonials.

The sweeping nature of this condemnation of all organisations for the spreading of spiritual ideas and spiritual life cannot, in my opinion, be justified. The Solar System itself is such an organisation. The Solar Logos must be regarded both as a great Organiser and as a great Ceremonialist.

Just as a wireless receiving set is essential for the receipt of broadcasts or a brain to receive thought, so are world religions essential to the general physical receipt and dissemination of spiritual teachings.

30 July 2016 4:00 p.m.*

Dreams

Chong Sanne talks about the different kinds of dreams. The states of the physical and etheric brains when the man is asleep will be discussed, including man’s astral activities. This talk was last given more than five years ago in March 2011. See the 2011 March newsletter.

Please note that this talk is for members only and the change in time.
