The Reality of the Masters
The consciousness of the
Adept seems unfathomable. So how do we begin to conceive the Master’s
consciousness and reach up to it? What about the myriad purported psychic
communications that have been springing up since Blavatsky’s time, and have
burgeoned into a morass of staggering literature? Wholesale condemnation or
dismissal of spirit communications is the product of bigotry and a lack of
direct knowledge. Conversely, blind acceptance is just as unwise and far
more common even though few spiritual seekers believe
themselves gullible enough to fall for spurious teachings. In an age where
most seekers feel themselves armed with the keenest discernment, immune from
the intrigues of astral denizens, a Theosophical enquiry into channeling is
attempted to shed some light on the matter.
Inextricably tied to
channeling is the widespread interest in past lives. Students or readers of
literature could hardly fail to recognize the parallel between the mystique
of fiction and the accounts and claims of past lives. Therefore, if time
permits, the subject will also be explored and a down-to-earth method
revealed, by which we may know the net result or essence of our past lives.
Come and listen to our
Assistant Secretary Brandon Goh’s talk on this inspiring subject.

Health and Disease in Man
The attainment and
maintenance of perfect health is the intelligent person’s supreme material
preoccupation. Health is the greatest physical necessity for every human
being. Yet, despite the progress of modern science, the incidence of such
diseases as leprosy, cancer, diabetes, hypertension and heart disease, and
the mortality from them, tend to increase. Our Hon. Secretary, Lily Chong,
will be giving this talk, Health and Disease in Man, again as
requested, the last time was 4 years ago. This will be an excellent
opportunity for members to understand more about our physical vehicle. Don’t
miss this interesting talk! Read more in the
February 2016 newsletter.
This programme is for
members only.

Glimpses At Understanding Dharma
N. C. Raghava
talks about DHARMA a very complex and deep subject , especially when
juxtaposed with KARMA. It is a very subtle aspect of life which varies from
individual to individual . It is also in a way a law of nature by which the
inner nature unfolds at various stages of one's evolution. And Dharma too
operates at various levels - individual, societal and national. This talk
will probe into some glimpses of understanding Dharma.
