HPB
After Leaving India
Our VP, Tang Kwok
Choon, recalls the period after HPB left India for good in 1885. She
wrote her magnum opus, The Secret Doctrine, when she lived in Paris,
Elberfeld, Würzburg, Ostende and London. Her attendants during this period
included Countess Constance Wachtmeister and Mabel Collins. The latter was
the amanuensis for the Master who gave us Light on the Path and
The Idyll of the White Lotus.

Proem to The Secret Doctrine
The Secret Doctrine is
widely recognized to be one of the greatest contribution to occult
knowledge. However, it is a book many of us find very difficult to read and
understand, and HPB has expected this. She has in fact suggested a system of
reading the two volumes. Bro Hauw Tio Hiong who has just started to
explore this approach will share an overall view of this method beginning
with the Proem.
